Trent's career spans twenty years across commercial operations, health services, and business advisory, from frontline practice through to executive leadership and board governance. That range is the foundation of Humainify's practical grounding, and what distinguishes his advisory work from those who arrived from finance, technology, or HR consulting.
As COO of St John Ambulance Tasmania, Trent held P&L responsibility for the organisation's commercial services divisions, including first aid training programs, event medical services, and retail operations. Running revenue generating businesses within a complex, mission driven organisation gave him the commercial and operational instincts that most advisors simply do not carry. As CEO of Independent Living Centre Tasmania, he grew a small clinical team into a multi region service, navigating the people, systems, and strategic challenges that come with genuine organisational growth.
Earlier in his career, Trent worked in mental health and disability services across New Zealand and Australia, building the frontline perspective that shapes everything he does as an advisor today. He holds an MBA and Diploma in Business Advisory (Australian Institute of Management), a Certificate in Governance for Not-for-Profit organisations, and a Certification in Emerging Technologies and Digital Leadership. He is a Certified Business Advisor through the Institute of Advisors.
Trent founded Humainify alongside Cathy Gray because he kept seeing the same pattern: businesses with genuine ambition held back by strategy, people, and systems that were not working together. AI was accelerating the gap.
